Applejack is the most likeable she has been in a long time and would go as far to say that it is one of her best appearances ever on the show in one of the best Applejack-centric episodes. Very interesting character with an awesome and easy to relate to (apart from her obliviousness regarding Svengallop) personality, especially if a singer yourself like with me. Coloratura is my personal favourite of the new supporting characters from Season 5. "Magic is Right" is in the top 3 of the best songs of the season along with "We'll Make Our Mark" ("Crusaders of the Lost Mark") and "I'll Fly" ("Tanks for the Memories"). The music fits beautifully and the featured songs plays a big role in the story and are a big part of "The Mane Attraction's" appeal. Speaking of that scene, that has to be my favourite one of Season 5 and one of my favourite endings of the whole of 'My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic', just love the emotion and how good it makes me feel on each viewing. The spectacle at the final concert scene is a visual marvel. However, the episode is beautifully animated. Am aware that the episode was satirising overbearing managers, but it goes so overboard with the obnoxiousness and everything negative about him without providing anything redeeming that one is at a loss at how Coloratura can be so oblivious when it's so blatantly obvious to everyone else. My only issue with "The Mane Attraction" was the grossly irritating character of Svengallop. Can completely understand why other fans consider it one of their favourite episodes. To me it is one of the best episodes of Season 5 and easily the best episode of both the season and of the show since "Crusaders of the Lost Mark", saying a lot as somebody who was underwhelmed by most of the episodes in between that episode and this (especially "What About Discord?", grrr!). "The Mane Attraction" is a big delight, a great penultimate episode for the season before the two parter finale "The Cutie Re-Mark" and a great (if slightly bittersweet) send off for writer Amy Keating Rogers. It is always interesting when we learn something new about any of the characters in any episode of the show, and we have that with the connection between Applejack and old friend Coloratura (term used for the highest register of a female voice in opera, most common in Bel Canto). Whether it is a flower or vegetable garden is unknown. While Applejack's character writing was pretty hit and miss throughout 'My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic', she is also out of the Mane 6 the pony that has the most interesting family. In What About Discord?, it is revealed that Apple Bloom has some kind of garden. Her zodiac sign is Leo and her birthday is maybe somewhat in August. It is revealed in On Your Marks that Apple Bloom is allergic to bees.Through a stage fright-stricken colt named Tender Taps, Apple Bloom and her friends pool their skills together and help him earn his cutie mark, and Apple Bloom realizes that by pursuing interests separate from her friends, she and the Crusaders can solve more cutie mark problems. However, in On Your Marks, she feels alone when she and the other Crusaders decide to pursue separate interests. In the Season 5 episode Crusaders of the Lost Mark, Apple Bloom along with Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo finally get their cutie marks when they learned their true talent: helping other ponies find their true talent. In The Cutie Pox, Apple Bloom admits that her numerous cutie marks that she got over the course of the episode are all false and that she stole ingredients from Zecora to obtain her cutie mark, thanks to Seeds of Truth. Apple Bloom knows martial arts and is skilled at design and carpentry, as shown by the speed with which she renovates Applejack's old treehouse for the Crusaders' use. Together with Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle, she forms the Cutie Mark Crusaders so they can find their place in the world. She has a thick Southern American accent like Applejack, but she tends to fade when she talks to someone she does not like. She wears a light-green t-shirt, blue denim pants that folds above her knees and orange cowboy/cowgirl boots. The only notable difference is both her mane color and her eye color.Īs a human, Apple Bloom has a long bright-crimson hair, she has a brilliant tangelo eyes and has a light-grayish apple-green skin tone. Her color is originally based on Sun Shimmer, a Generation 3 earth pony, Apple Spice, another Generation 3 earth pony, and Sunburst, a Generation 1 Mountain Boy Pony. Apple Bloom is a yellow earth pony with a red mane and tail and a large pink/red bow on the top of her head.
